This contents page has been created using several aspects that make it appealing. The first being the colours it uses, mainly for the text and background, they are very simple colours that complement each other. With complementary colours in place it allows for a less colour clashing which is confusing and for a more attractive look. But they haven’t just used 2 colours they have used 4 colours that are not bright, but of a darker shade, this works well as it makes it look more interesting without clashing colours and a confusing look. Another aspect in which this contents page excels in the use of its pictures – it keeps the number of pictures minimal but interesting. As two out of three of the images related to articles that are listed in the contents page it helps the reader get a rough idea what the article is about. Also the pictures keep in tune with the colours already use but also stand out to grab attention, this also helps make the contents page more appealing to look at and read. The fact that they have used Minimal text and pictures also help give the contents page a less cluttered feel so enables the reader to find what they are looking for quickly and simply without the need to trawl through walls of text or dozens of pictures to find the part of the contents they are looking for.
