This Music magazine, Kerrang, has a unique layout and style. The font it uses for its masthead is unique and allows the magazine to be picked out from the rest of the competition, the colours used on this particular issues compliments the white colour of the masthead, as the red and white and the black give this issues a particular theme and also makes it more eye catching to its targeted audience. Also the colours are what Kerrang’s target demographic would most likely be attracted to and would spot. Also the colours mixed with the single picture and the layout of the text give the cover a sleeker more professional look so it’s more appealing to the audience. This cover has also been arranged in such a way that the readers’ eye looks at the feature first then spread out to the supporting images and other smaller features. Also the feature image that has been used has been taken and positioned in such a way that he is staring at the reader and is in a challenging stance that almost dares the reader to pick up the magazine. At the top of the cover there is a small ‘caption’ bar that contains a small exclusive, the word Exclusive is in bold red letter to help attract the reader, although only a regular readers will read this bit and those that like or know what band it relates to.
