Music Magazine Contents Page Analysis

The layout of this contents page is far from simple. It contains a lot of detail and information. It features only one main image as well as a small image for a promotion, the amount to text far outweighs the a images, this has made the contents page confusing and cluttered so it can be difficult to navigate if you’re looking for something specific that isn’t a feature it can be hard to locate. The colours used are the same as NME’s front cover, Red, White and Black. The red helps to attract to key points and articles and Black helps the white and red text stand out. This again helps key features stand out. With bold headers and text it does have some sense of focus, but these are usually over major articles and features such as gig listings. The photograph used is taken very professionally and is linked to the main article. It help draw the reader into reading the article and also the colours that are in the image also compliment and reflect the colours used in the magazine it’s self.
